Revolution Mosaic Hero

96 overall and 96 style scores on RateBeer. 4.12 out of 5 on Beer Advocate. 3.94 out of 5 on Untappd.

MOSAIC-HERO
INDIA PALE ALE

This speciality IPA is quite unique with a heavy usage of a rare and sought-after hop, Mosaic. Mosaic Hero is brewed with Pale and CaraFoam malts and Naked Golden Oats to yield a rich copper color and smooth mouthfeel.
Finally, we dry hopped this unique IPA with Mosaic and a small amount of Crystal to enhance the aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and fresh pine.

Picked up a 6 pack of Revolution Mosaic Hero, today at Savor Pint. $12.99 for the 6 pack.

Another one in Revolution's League Of Heroes series of beers. Mosaic Hero is one I hadn't tried before.

Revolution is one of my favorite breweries. Anti-Hero is one of my, if not my favorite beer. But I tend to see Anti-Hero quite a bit at Savor Pint, and is one I tend to ignore, since I see it all the time. If it's a company that has a year round beer I see all the time, I'll ignore the beer and go after the seasonal beers. Much like Great Lakes Brewing. I'll ignore their year round beers and go after their seasonals like Nosferatu or Lake Erie Monster.

One beer worth ignoring year round is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

One of the biggest reasons to not drink PBR.

Another reason to avoid PBR. To be honest, water has more flavor than PBR.

The only reason PBR should be consumed.

PBR swillers have to watch their money.

The only sport that PBR drinkers play or watch is Wiffle Ball.

Recently made another trip to Green Lawn Cemetery.

Bob Kline. A pitcher who played for the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, and Washington Senators between 1930 and 1934. Bit of baseball trivia concerning Bob Kline- Kline was the opposing pitcher against Babe Ruth in his last pitching appearance on October 1, 1933.

Savor Pint had one lonely six pack of Mosaic Hero. It looked so sad by itself. Had to buy it so it wouldn't be so lonely.

As with a lot of other offerings from Revolution, I like the color scheme on Mosaic Hero. Graphics are eye catching as well. Only thing I think that would turn people off is the price. $12.99 for a beer that actually has taste is something I don't think should be an issue. But that is getting into 12 pack and case level pricing. Plus a lot of PBR drinkers can't handle the amount of taste an IPA offers.

What does a case of PBR cost nowadays? $2?

Yes PBR drinkers, you are.

PBR drinkers have more pressing issues than a beer with taste.

PBR drinkers after one good beer.

PBR drinkers even like pineapple on Pizza.

PBR swillers do get kicked out of a lot of places.

Truth about PBR drinkers.

Had to break out a special glass for Mosaic Hero.

Head was decent. No lacing to speak of. Aroma was on the citrus side. Bit of grapefruit, tangerine and a bit of pineapple.

Taste didn't seem as citrusy as the smell. Grapefruit and tangerine were there. Slight hint of pineapple. Wish the citrus was a bit stronger than what it was. Bitterness kicks in at the end. All of a sudden the bitter is there. Not bad at all. Rated it 4.25 out of 5. Do enjoy the bitterness at the end. Wish it had a bit more citrus in the front.
