The adventures of a beer pimpin' hobgoblin as he journeys tasting various beers. Maybe some entries on breweries, beer apps and beer culture. All that while hating the Cincinnati Reds. Don't forget to crusade against bad beer like Bud Light, Corona, Bass and Natty Light.
91 BA score on Beer Advocate. 84 overall and 69 style scores on RateBeer. 3.87 out of 5 on Untappd.
A West Coast style IPA dry-hopped with organic Citra hops to impart intense tropical and citrus fruit aromas. This brew has an aggressive, boldly-bright American hop character that will leave you craving another.
Picked up a 6 pack for $10.99 at Savor Pint.
Savor Pint recently started carrying this one. Had never heard of Market Garden before. Great Lakes Brewing out of Cleveland is one I'm very familiar with. As for this one, not so much.
Not that impressed with the packaging. Nothing grabs me. The bust reminds me of something from the Roman Empire. Only thing that I liked is the green.
Went to the Ohio State Fair the other day.
Found some interesting stools.
Found a stall selling some "Exotic Foods". First time I've ever seen shark on a stick. Or alligator corn dogs. How about smothered rabbit?
One of the new things at the fair this year are the "specialty" tater tots.
One stand were even selling Totchos. Tater Tot nachos.
Did but a deep fried taco. Had salsa and sour cream on top. Hated the salsa, it tasted like cheap canned salsa. Inside it had beef, lettuce, cheese, and onions.
Found some bacon wrapped oreos.
Smokey the bear looked a little refreshed.
This years butter sculptures/butter cows.
Always liked taking pictures of this ride.
Some funky chickens.
The Giant Slide is always fun to watch.
As with the packaging, I'm not fond of the graphics.
Do like the green.
Am a fan of the back label. Like how the bottom part of the label is shaped like the state of Ohio.
Do like the packaging/graphics much better than Budweiser.
Budweiser isn't any better than PBR.
Poison Control should use Budweiser as a vomit inducer.
Same thing with Budweiser.
Poured into a generic IPA glass. Less than a half inch of head. Plenty of lacing on the glass. Do get some grapefruit with a little bit of pine in the aroma. Some malt as well.
Taste does a bit of malt to it at first. Grapefruit is there. Seems to be a tad bit of orange. Pine comes in at the end. Pleasant bitterness. Wished there was a bit more citrus to it. Rated it 4 out of 5 on Untappd.
