Stone Enjoy By 12.25.17 Unfiltered IPA

Stone Enjoy By Unfiltered series has 99 overall and 99 style scores on RateBeer. It has a 4.34 out of 5 on Beer Advocate. 4.07 out of 5 on Untappd.

The regular Enjoy By series has 100 overall and 100 style scores on RateBeer. 4.42 out 5 on Beer Advocate. On Untappd, they are broken out by dates.

Rip into this one now

Double IPA

For this version of Stone Enjoy By IPA we thought: “We don’t always have a filter, so why should our beer?” By skipping a step and letting this devastatingly fresh, golden-hued double IPA go un filtered, the beer takes on a hazy appearance and its peach and tropical fruit hop aroma are intensified. So though it may sound like it, this missed step was no misstep.

Like the other IPAs in this series, this version is brewed specifically NOT to last.

Recently picked up a 6 pack of Stone Enjoy By 12.25.17 Unfiltered IPA. Got it at my usual place of Savor Pint.

Earned the Untappd For The Can level 3 badge. It's for 15 different beers in cans.

Also earned the Untappd Hopped Up level 41 badge. 205 different beers with an IBU of 65 or above.

Didn't buy a 6 pack the last time the regular Enjoy By was out. Bought just a single.

Really like how Stone is doing Enjoy By in cans. Do think they should do all of their beers in cans all the time. Reduces weight. Plus beer tastes better out of cans.

Cans can't make PBR taste any better. It's like putting lipstick on a pig.

Everyone knows how PBR drink from a can.

PBR drinkers motto.

They drink PBR while partaking in their favorite snack.

Since it's close to Christmas, they have to pull out the Christmas sweater.

Do believe this sweater is an insult.

A grave insult to the Misfits.

Of course, PBR drinkers have no clue who the Misfits were.

Where Eagles Dare

Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight?

As with other Enjoy Color scheme fits in with a lot of the other Enjoy By releases. Enjoy By Christmas was added on the "back" of the can. It seems like the same description is on all of the releases. At least this one is a bit different.

Do think the color scheme is eye catching. Only bad thing is the price point. Anything over $11.99 for a 6 pack is a bit of a drawback. When a 6 pack is approaching $20, it does hurt people picking it up randomly.

Hell, for $17.99, about 102 cases of PBR could be bought.

With all those cans, PBR swillers get resourceful with the Christmas decorations.

PBR onesies on Christmas are also worn.

What did you expect out of people who prefer trannies? And no, I'm not talking about a car transmission.

And out of people who go to the bathroom in pools?

Or eat Kit Kat bars like this?

PBR drinkers are banned from most petting zoos.

Poured into a generic IPA glass. Decent head. No lacing to speak of. Aroma seems to lean towards melon on this one. Maybe some slight grapefruit. Some hops. Don't seem to get any alcohol in the smell.

Rather smooth for a 9.4% ABV beer. Don't get an alcohol tinge at all. As with the aroma, seems to lean a bit towards melon in the taste. Throw in some grapefruit. Some slight bitterness at the end. Doesn't seem like the IBU is that high. With an IBU of 90, I was expecting a bit more bitterness than there is. Think the other flavors help cut the bitterness. Do believe that Enjoy By 12.15.17 is one of those beers that'll sneak up on you. Rated it 4.25 out of 5. It is a somewhat conservative rating.

Stone Enjoy By 12.25.17 Unfiltered IPA is one worth seeking out.

Short's Brewing Sticky Icky Icky IPA

4.12 out of 5 on Beer Advocate. 95 overall and 93 style scores on RateBeer. 3.93 out of 5 on Untappd.

Sticky Icky Icky is a radiantly dank, clear copper-colored American India Pale Ale loaded with citrusy hop aromas. This light, yet full-bodied, ale seems perfectly balanced by equal parts sweet malt and fruity juicy hops. A medium bitterness lingers in the finish with a subtle earthiness.

7.1% ABV
78 IBU

Recently bought a 6 pack of Short's Brewing Sticky Icky Icky IPA from Savor Pint.

Savor Pint recently posted that they had recently got this one in. As I had never heard of Short's Brewing, and the name of Sticky Icky Icky, I knew I had to go find it.

Do really like the graphics and colors on the packaging. Certainly is eye catching. If I could, I would also jump into a big pile of hops as well.

One beer that isn't eye catching is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Sums up PBR drinkers. Of course they get drunk after one beer.

How PBR drinkers teach their kids to ride a bike.

How PBR drinkers put up Christmas lights.

PBR drinkers are close to their dogs.

One beer that could be possibly worse than PBR is Busch Light.

Typical Busch Light drinkers.

Busch drinkers parties look lit.

How Busch Light drinkers smoke pot and snort coke.

Major drawback of Busch Light.

Who could pass up trying a beer named Sticky Icky Icky? Not this guy. Miller light drinkers probably.

Went back to Green Lawn Cemetery, yet again.

A rather unfortunate first name.

Somewhat unusual name.

Homemade marker.

Some markers with porcelain portraits.

Never have seen a marker list crippled on it.

Some asian markers.

The artwork for Sticky Icky Icky is among my favorite that I've recently come across lately. Wish Kroger or Giant Eagle would carry more of the smaller brewers.

Pours with a decent head and nice lacing. Some citrus aromas are there. Little bit of malt.Nice hoppiness.

Taste has some nice citrus to it. Grapefruit along with a bit of orange. Malt is a tad noticeable. Pleasant bitterness at the end. Doesn't seem like it is a 78 IBU beer. Bitterness is cut by the citrus and malt. Rated it 4 out of 5 on Untappd. That is a slight conservative rating.
